118th VFW National Convention
New Orleans, La., “The Big Easy” was a wonderful host city for the 118th VFW National Convention, July 22-27, 2017.
Thousands of VFW and Auxiliary members convened from all over the world at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, in one of the world's most fascinating cities. New Orleans is home to a truly unique melting pot of culture, food and music. From world-famous restaurants to hidden music clubs, as one of America's most culturally and historically-rich destinations, New Orleans had something to discover at every turn.

Patriotic Celebration

In the true tradition and spirit of New Orleans, you're invited to join VFW and Auxiliary New Orleans convention attendees for a rockin good time at the VFW Patriotic Celebration mini-Mardi Gras parade, inside Hall C and D at the Ernest Morial Convention Center.
The parade will incorporate the traditional march of the VFW Departments along with other exciting Mardi Gras elements. We encourage you to get into the spirit of the event by dressing up. Wear your favorite costume, bring along a mask or your most colorful feather boa. Visit a shop where you can find authentic New Orleans apparel.
We'll end the evening with true New Orleans entertainment by Vince Vance and his legends of Mardi Gras!
