The VFW Podcast Debuts Today

‘Our hope is that it allows for a new conversation’

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The Veterans of Foreign Wars began its next journey of communicating with veterans, service members and military families through The VFW Podcast, its newest communication platform today.   

The VFW Podcast is the official podcast of the VFW, the oldest combat veterans service organization advocating for and serving our veterans, service members and military families worldwide.

“The VFW Podcast will feature one-of-a-kind perspectives and insightful conversations concerning veteran legislation, educational and financial assistance programs, national veterans’ services, and critical initiatives from my lens,” said VFW National Commander Harold “Hal” Roesch II. 

The VFW Podcast will be available the first Wednesday of each month for the remainder of 2020 and will be found on all major platforms to include Apple Podcasts, Google Play, Spotify, Deezer, Stitcher, Pandora and here at the VFW website. Beginning in 2021, The VFW Podcast will air the first and third Wednesday of the month. 

“We are excited about the potential of The VFW Podcast and look forward to engaging our veterans, service members and families in a new way,” said podcast host and VFW Director of Communications Terrence Hayes. “Our hope is that it allows for a new conversation – one that will carry over to social media and can deliver the information and resources our veterans require. The VFW is in the midst of a paradigm shift and I am very excited to be part of this transformational change within our organization.”

The VFW Podcast guest list will consist of congressional leadership, Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs senior officials, VFW national leaders and everyday veterans doing amazing work in their communities.
